Here’s one you don’t have to stir or shake: morning light.
Scientists call it a “zeitgeber” (fancy German for “time cue”). It’s your body’s way of syncing the internal clock.
The Morning Light Protocol
- Go outside within 30–60 minutes of waking.
- Look toward the sky (not directly at the sun) for 5–10 minutes.
- Aim for no sunglasses or blue-blockers during this short exposure.
- Do it daily—even on cloudy days.
When your eyes catch that early sunlight:
- Cortisol gets a healthy morning rise (energy + focus).
