Parenity Brand Startup Journal | Entry #6 | Week Ending Jul.26/24

Parenity is a solopreneur brand (read about it here) being built from the ground up by me, Rob Bond. For other entries in this startup journal, check out the startup journal category on this site, or if you want to just check out the previous post, you can find it here.

And if you don’t feel like reading every single thought, here’s the blog post condensed into a short video:

This is a brief one, and there likely won’t be one next week due to our 1 Week family vaycay we’re leaving for at 4:40am tomorrow!

That Ticking Clock

I need a launch date to shoot for ASAP, but nothing is certain when there are grey areas and red tape galore! And seemingly small tasks can end up eating up so much time; for example, designing packaging for your product while reading through dense regulatory documents containing packaging requirements. I hope to set a somewhat realistic launch date once we’re back from vacation in a week.

Collaboration Comes Back Around

Full fledged introvert here, but I must say it really is amazing what things will reveal themselves when you take a short break from the comfort zone, and a lot of times the enthusiasm for one’s business can be the key to bring it about effortlessly. My wife recently build on a great connection at Hello Gorgeous, the salon she goes to, it sounds like that connection has another connection for us. I also hope to chat with some other local businesses soon, including the Sobr Market, which has been in the news lately.

Friends Are So Great

My friend Felix at Flow CPA has been so generous with his time. It’s really incredible to be able to lean on friends and mensches 🙂

Ingest The Money Situation

Don’t procrastinate looking at the money it’s time well spent. Even if it doesn’t seem immediately actionable, you’ll make more informed decisions in your day-to-day if you get that high level view of where everything sits!

Don’t Stress Yourself Out

Perfectly portioned days are rare. Instead of trying to squeeze that last thing in, go for a nice walk!
